How Your Hair Is Made

 It's pretty well known that hair is a bunch of dead cells. Here's a little more than that: Your hair is made of a hair fiber surrounded by debris excreted by your scalp, and a layer of sebum secreted by your glands. There are three types of hair on your body.  Lanugo — These are the first hairs that exist on your body. They exist mostly on a fetus, and cover the whole body. Vellus — Vellus hairs grow on the 'hairless' areas of the body. They also show up in areas that are in the balding stage, and have only these fine hairs left before the area goes completely bald, or in areas that are gradually returning to the natural hair growth...

Spicy Lime Salmon

We love healthy eating. Here's our favorite spicy salmon.  Pulse until well combined:2 pounds salmon filletjuice+zest of 1 lime1 clove garlic2 tablespoons olive oil2 tablespoons coarse chopped cilantro1/2 jalapeño, seeded and chopped Place salmon on foil lined bake sheet. Pour combination over salmon. Bake at 400°F for 18-20 minutes, or until salmon is fully cooked.

The Lost City of Z

Rosemary Baby Lamb Chops

Rosemary is awesome on lamb. It's also great for stopping hair loss. Here's a delicious recipe from our mom. Grilled Garlic Baby Lamb Chops For 18 pieces Purée: 1.5 cups of olive oil 1/4 cup garlic cloves (about 8) 1/2 cup dried rosemary a sprinkle of salt Marinate the lamb chops in the garlic-rosemary purée for 1-4 hours.  Grill or broil on each side until browned and crisp.
