Just for now, until you’re back on your feet, set your lofty goals and ambitions to the side. Focus purely on survival, it might be all you can realistically handle in the moment. Instead of taking 10,000 steps and deep cleaning your bathroom, just focus on getting out of bed and eating breakfast. Take a shower if you can; get some sunshine. Give your mind and body a reset until you’re feeling better.
Even if you don’t actively struggle with mental health issues, chances are good that you have days when you feel depressed or anxious. No matter what your struggles with mental health are, there are steps you can take to make every day a little easier.
