Eat a healthy, filling breakfast before work in the morning. Your work can equate to a sedentary activity, so eat breakfast to keep yourself from snacking on unhealthy foods. It can be easy to accidentally snack throughout the day, but unhealthy snacks can lead to unwanted weight gain, especially when you spend all day sitting in the same place.
Choose breakfast foods that are full of nutrients and will fill you up, like high-fiber cereal, fruit, a smoothie, eggs, a breakfast burrito, veggies, or whole wheat toast. When you stay full longer, you will not be as tempted to snack.

Getting up more often will be very beneficial for your health, especially if you work at a desk. With regular breaks, you’ll be more productive, more creative, and better able to process information.
Stand up and move around frequently if you can. Take breaks to walk to the bathroom or to fill up a reusable water bottle. Going for a walk during your lunch break will help you burn calories and can also help you de-stress and rejuvenate in order to continue working.
Drinking plenty of water throughout your workday will not only keep you healthy but can also keep you energized and awake. You should be drinking eight to ten glasses of water per day in order to stay hydrated, and it has been discovered that the “three o’clock lull” experienced by so many people at work could actually be due to dehydration, not tiredness.
Set goals to keep yourself drinking enough water. This may be difficult at first, especially if you are used to only drinking water when you feel notably thirsty. Consider acquiring a reusable, 16-ounce water bottle and bringing it to work with you; then, challenge yourself to drink an entire bottle’s worth of water before lunch, again after lunch before three o’clock, and then a third bottle of water by five o’clock. Set alarms on your phone or computer to remind yourself to refill. Creating healthy hydration habits will do wonders for your health at work.
